Explaining the portal to your customers

A text you can send to your customers as it is or put on your website, and the answers to the questions customers ask about the portal.

Your customers get an invitation and a login code from Schedulinq, but no explanation of what the portal is. You give that yourself — in your newsletter, on your website or in a reply to a question. Below is a text you can copy, followed by the questions customers ask, with an answer you can forward as it is.

A text to send

Change the name of your business and leave out what does not apply to you.

Your appointments and invoices in one place

In our customer portal you see your upcoming and past appointments, download your invoices and book a new appointment yourself — without filling in your details again.

You'll get an invitation from us by email: Voorbeeldbedrijf invites you to its customer portal. Click Open the portal and log in with the email address the invitation was sent to. You don't need a password: you get a code by email, or you log in with Google or Microsoft.

Then you choose who the invitation is for — yourself, or someone else in your household. Everyone in an account logs in with the same email address.

You'll always find the portal at portal.schedulinq.com. If you're also a customer of another business that uses Schedulinq, you'll see that there too.

Questions customers ask

Do I have to create an account? No. The first time you log in, the portal creates your account. All you need is to log in with the email address the invitation was sent to.

I didn't get a code. Check your spam folder. After 30 seconds you can request a new code. If you've tried a few times already, wait a quarter of an hour, or log in with Google or Microsoft.

The code doesn't work. A code works for 10 minutes and expires as soon as you request a new one. Use the latest email. After five wrong tries you have to request a new code.

It says the invitation is for another email address. You're logged in with another address than the one we sent the invitation to. Click Log in with another address and log in with the address from the invitation.

It says the invitation was withdrawn or has expired. Use our latest email, or ask us for a new invitation. An invitation works for 30 days and once.

My partner wants to log in too. That works with the same email address: go to Account → Add person. After logging in you then choose who you are. If your partner wants to use an email address of their own, they create their own account and we send them an invitation of their own.

I don't see an appointment or invoice. You only see what belongs to the details we connected to you. If something is missing, let us know — you may have two sets of customer details with us, private and business for example.

I want to reschedule my appointment. Click the pencil next to the appointment (Change or cancel). You get the same page as through the link in your confirmation email.

Can I change my details? In the portal you change your name, phone number and address under Account. That is for your own portal. If something changed for us, such as a new address for an appointment, please let us know.

I don't want to be in it any more. On our page in the portal there is Actions → Disconnect: after that you see nothing of ours any more. If you want to leave altogether, choose Account → Delete account. Your appointments and invoices stay with us; only your portal disappears.

Is it safe? You log in with a code sent to your email address, or with your Google or Microsoft account. Anyone who can read your email can get into your portal — so keep your mailbox well protected. Want to keep something separate from the people you live with? Then use an email address and an account of your own.
